Publishing Fee

Dear Authors,
The Journal of Human Kinetics has served scientists for close to a quarter of a century. Throughout this time, we have attempted to disseminate the latest knowledge in sport sciences, especially that related to competitive sports. We have expanded our editorial board and systematically improved our services, while maintaining a low publishing fee. On the other hand, we have observed a significant rise in publishing fees throughout the world. Despite that trend, the Academy of Physical Education in Katowice, the owner of the Journal of Human Kinetics , has decided to lower the publishing fee starting from January 1 2023 to 800 Euro.
Additionally, we have expanded the scope of the journal, which now covers topics not only related to competitive sports, but also to physical activity of different populations, kinesiology, exercise physiology & sports medicine as well as psychology & sociology of sport and exercise. Considering our experience with special issues, we also accept guest editorial offers for specific topics related to particular aspects of sport sciences.
We thus encourage all scientists to submit manuscripts to the JHK. We would also like to thank all the authors and reviewers for their great effort and to wish everyone a happy New Year!

Editor-in-chief

The Journal of Human Kinetics is a non-profit organization and most of the publishing expenses are covered by the Jerzy Kukuczka Academy of Physical Education in Katowice along with the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education. However, due to insufficient financial funds and considering that the periodical is an open access journal, the Journal of Human Kinetics has to charge the publishing fee of 900 euro per paper. Yet, please note that there is no submission fee and that the fee is to be paid only following acceptance of the manuscript for print. Below, you may find all the details necessary to make the payment.
